West Kingdom Brewer's Guild: Craftsman

Interests: Brewing (cider mostly), Running the Cock & Bulls Tavern, Tent/Pavillion Making, Bread baking, Middle-Eastern style drumming, inter-kingdom events, Silk Banner Painting; Combat Archery; event photography; Crushing all Naval fleets that are not affiliated with the West Kingdom

Persona: Born to a average family in the Kingdom of the East, I lived a pleasant life. I earned my living as a drummer and tent maker, and moved around playing in many different villages. Eventually, made the migration to the West, and lived in Caid for close to 15 years. While there, I found a new home at the Oasis of the Feathered Eye. The longer I spent at the Oasis, the more I began to question my beliefs. Over time, I developed a strong bond with several people staying at the Oasis who had travelled a great distance from Eire, and introduced me to a great many new things in life. I acquired a taste for Cider, and learned how to make it. Over many moons (and ciders), I adopted the pagan religious beliefs of my companions at the Oasis. I am a changed man as a result. More recently, I decided to move up north to the Kingdom of the West, in search of greater fortunes and better weather. I had the great luck to find housing within the Barony of the Westermark. Certainly there could be no finer place to live! I earn my living currently, as the proprietor of the infamous "Cock & Bulls Tavern", a shady establishment known to appear in the strangest of places, often just when it is needed most. The Cock & Bulls is also the storefront (more front than store much of the time...) for the fine Meads, Ciders & Cordials made by the award winning Oak, Ash & Thorn Brewing Company. Frequently seen in the company of Jen of the Westermark and Angino Di Vincenzo. Joel encountered the High Admiral of the Royal Navy of the West Corwyn da Costa, and was inducted into the Navy, as a Quartermaster (Involuntary). Since then, he has been stirring up trouble in Caid at the Great Western War, mostly in his capacity as part of the crew of the Dread Ship Black Rose. The Captain and Crew of the Black Rose were presented with a Letter of Marque, and authorized by King Uther as privateers in the service of the King.

History: My wife and I have been attending War events in Caid since 2001, but moved into Redwood City in April 2006, and are trying to get ourselves more integrated into the Barony of the Westermark
