Madness ASXLII Photo Contest! (Entries Due by August 6th) |

The Westermark is always looking to add more images of our events to both our own website, and the Kingdom History site. To that end, we thought we’d run a photo contest this year. Now, we’re not encouraging people to run around flashing people willy-nilly, but if you do happen to take some nice shots this event, we’d love to see‘em. Maybe even use ‘em. To that end, we’d like you to submit a few of your shots (you know, if you just happen to have them) to photos@thewestermark.org. We’ll look them over, and choose a winner sometime after our next monthly meeting. We don’t want to be completely swamped, so please enter only one picture for each of the following categories. You don’t need to enter every category, but we don’t mind if you do… 1) PORTRAIT. Pictures primarily of one specific person. May be posed, arranged, or otherwise “made to happen”. 2) ACTION. Shots of fighting, or other contests of physicality. Brick throwing counts… 3) HUMOROUS. Anything that strikes you as funny. 4) SCENIC. Shots of the site, encampments, big groups. That kind of thing.
By entering this contest, we assume that you are
granting the Westermark the right to re-use your photo on our website,
but to keep the lawyers happy we’d appreciate it if you include a
message along the lines of
"I
give consent for the Westermark to use my photos on the Westermark
website, and related SCA websites".
Also, if you could give a slight description of your photo, that
would be great too, particularly if can name whoever happens to be in
the photo, so we don’t have to try figuring it out.
We are assuming that all photos will be
digital. If you are using
film you can still submit your photo(s) if you have them converted
first.
We’ll decide which
photo’s win in each category, and then decide an overall “best of
winners” shot as the winner of this contest.
The prize has yet to be determined, but will be announced after
the contest closes. Please
submit your photos no later than August 6th 2007. |
